Wieners and Valentines and Julia Quinn

SecretdiariesNow, there’s a combination for you!  First, let’s talk about Julia Quinn.  On Monday, 1/21, Julia will be Jo’s guest here at the Word Wenches.  Please drop by early and often!  We promise a fun discussion (as always!) and a chance to view the world according to Julia Quinn.

Next on the agenda:  the wieners!  Once more, we are giving away autographed books left and right.  This time, we have two lucky winners chosen from those who left comments.

Valarie wins a copy of Pat’s Mystic Guardian.Hotdog

Ariana wins a book of her choice from Mary Jo.

Please send your mailing address to the appropriate Wench, or to Sherrie at sholmes@holmesedit.com, and your book will soon be winging its way to you.  Thanks for participating and leaving comments, ladies!

February And now, about Valentines.  We have some fun blogs coming up in February, a month traditionally reserved for All Things Romance.  But we aren’t going to limit ourselves solely to Romance.  To whet your appetites, here’s a little hint:  it may be controversial.  It may be scandalous.  It may come with an "adult content" warning.  It may . . . well, you’ll just have to drop by and judge for yourselves.  The one thing we guarantee is that it WILL be interesting!

As February approaches, we’ll fill you in on the details on what we  have planned for you.  In the meantime, one of the best ways to stay abreast of our goings on here is to sign up for our newsletter.  Just click the newsletter box in the right sidebar.

  1. Scandal and adult content? What’s not to love? Especially a moment of grown-up conversation in a household full of kids 🙂
    Congrats to the winners!

  6. I read All Things Romance as All Thighs Romance. That would make for a racy blog title.
Looking forward to the world and word according to Quinn.

Santa, the “Minx” is my best-loved JQ, after “Romancing Mr. B.”

Francois, you really should warn a person before posting something like that! It sure sounds like you’re getting into the spirit of things!
