  1. I got so excited when I was sent a review copy of The Winter Bride the other day, I started reading immediately. But then I realised I still hadn’t read The Autumn Bride – so I bought it and now I’m reading the series in order.
Really, really loving it so far. 🙂
Up next: A Shocking Delight. I have an obsession with blue dress covers!

  6. Mary Jo, I’ve tried asserting my parental control when it comes to reading matter, but Sparky is determined. If it’s written by a Wench, she’s going to read it, regardless. I’m hoping her current innocence (cough) will protect her . . . at least for a while! *g*

  11. Sonya, I felt the same way–just had to have The Autumn Bride so that I could read the series in order. I got the audiobook version to accommodate Sparky and we listened to it together.
And isn’t the cover of A Shocking Delight beautiful?!! The Wenches have been especially blessed by the cover gods, being favored with lovely covers lately.

  16. For a cat who was born in the feral slums and whose exuberance often exceeds the bounds of propriety, Sparky has remarkably refined tastes. Of course, it must be the influence of her home environment, right? *g*
Meerkat! Yes! Sparky does look just like a meerkat, doesn’t she? That flat-footed standing posture is something she does often, and this is the first time I was able to catch her in the act. I never did find out what had her so intrigued. One minute I had draped the sofa in blue fabric for a photo shoot with Sparky, and the next thing I knew she suddenly stood upright and began peering intently toward the kitchen. Luckily, I had my camera ready!

  21. Oh, Artemisia, thank you so much for that adorable link! The narrator was excellent, and it provided me with many laughs. In fact, the dogs came running, certain they must be missing something. Too funny!
