Let’s Get Naked!

The Wenches bare it all.  (That’s bare, not bear!)  Polarbear_2

Our one-year anniversary is May 22, and we have declared the next 7 days "Anniversary Week."  We’re going to be blogging all week about historical nakedness–in fiction and in art–and we invite you to join in the fun.  Commenters will be eligible to win books.  We’ve spent a lot of time behind Fwinebucketplusthe scenes preparing our series of posts about nakedness (including pictures).  So break out the champagne and confetti and put on your party hats!  Let the fun begin!

And while all that partying is going on, the Wenches will be gadding about making guest appearances all over the Internet:

5/15-31 – Loretta: guest at Eloisa James’s Book Club.

5/16-31 – Jo and Mary Jo: guests at Cherry Forums Book Club.

5/22 – Mary Jo: guest at Romance Vagabonds.

5/23 – Loretta: guest at Fog City Divas.

5/30 – Mary Jo interviews Jo in connection with the release of Jo’s LADY BEWARE

5/28-6/10 – Mary Jo: guest author at Romantic Times "Ask the Author"

6/2 – Loretta: Booksigning at Connecticut Romance Writers conference.

6/5 – Loretta, Jo, and Mary Jo:  guests at Coffee Time Chat.

6/19 – Loretta: guest at Romance Readers at Heart.

6/26 -Pat and Susan/Miranda:  guests at Coffee Time Chat.

That’s all for now, folks.  Stay tuned for more announcements, more contests, more guests.  The wait will be worth it!

  1. My goodness! I’ll have to use my screen hider if I blog at work, or the students might think I’m looking at one of ‘those’ sites!!
(I’m minding the student computer lab on my breaks to cover staff vacations this week – always fun).
Curiosity is a very strong motivator – can’t wait to see what you come up with! Plus I’ll have to follow all you Web Wandering Wenches… busy week!

  5. My computer at school will automatically block the discussion on this topic, I am sure. But congratulations on your anniversary. If you had hoped to increase readership with this blog, I can testify that it’s working. I was a big fan of Jo and Loretta, and owned all of their books, but since the blog began, I have purchased books by all of the other wenches, and have been led to purchase the books of Carla Kelly, Ann Gracie, Laura Kinsale, and Joan Wolf through the reccomendation of the fans on this blog. I have enjoyed all the wonderful information about history, especially the information about everyday life in times past. Thanks for all your hard work, wenches!
