Hello 2018!

Sunrise

As the new year rises, like a phoenix in all its bright fire, all of the Word Wenches hope that the coming year is filled with the bright light of health and happiness for all of you.

Here on the blog, we look forward to celebrating the spirit of Hope and power of Love, both in our own books and in those of our fellow authors. In times of turmoil and change, words and storytelling are especially important. They inspire the imagination, provoke exploration and reflection, pass on wisdom, encourage compassion and kindness, and remind us that a sense of humor is an important part of our humanity. . .

So here's to all the wondrous words waiting to be read in 2018. We can't wait to share that delightful joy of discovery with all of our Word Wenches family!

  1. Is that a sunrise or a sunset? I remember walking the Pembrokeshire coastal cliffs on a warm still evening and watching the sun set over the ocean. I expected it to disappear below the horizon and was amazed to see an image of the sun in the ocean moving towards the shore. It set me thinking about optical refraction, the stunning beauty of natural phenomena and even life after death. I have never seen the sun rise over the ocean …. never up early enough …. but I expect by symmetry that it will be indistinguishable from a sunset.
Thanks for the inspiring words and a beautiful image!
