Celebrating a special Birthday Week

Hello, Melissa here!

This is a special week for us Wenches.  We have, not one, not two, but three wonderful birthdays to celebrate this week!

We celebrate Anne on January 14th, and then on Jan 17th we have a double birthday.  Joanna and Susanna share a birthday.  How special is that?  Please join us in wishing the three lovely ladies a very happy birthday, and share our cake with us!  This one is a white cake with buttercream icing.  Do you have a favourite?

  1. Happy birthday to all three of you. My father’s sister (the oldest in the family) was born on January 1, so January has always meant birthday to me. I now have three more days to remember

  6. Wishing you three each a very happy birthday! As regards cake, I’m partial to chocolate; however, I could happily substitute a piece of tiramisu.

  16. A favorite what? Lady or cake? Well, same answer for both – I like them all 🙂
But if I had to pick a cake, it would be chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting. And sprinkles 🙂

  21. Happy Birthday to three wonderful authors whose books I read regularly.
I love a yellow cake on the inside with mocha frosting in between each layer and darker chocolate and sprinkles overall.

  26. Thank ye kindly.
You can also wish happy day to Benjamin Franklin who shares January 17th with us.
(The 17th is using the new style calendar, not the old, in case you were wondering. Under the old style he was born January 6. I am going to assume such a scientific man was still in favor of the change.)

  31. To Anne, Joanna and Susanna, may your birthdays be filled with love and joy and peace.
And may the coming year be a year where everyone you meet says “Have you had work done, you look so young?”
And if each of listen closely, you can hear me singing Happy Birthday to you. I sing softly because if you could hear me, your ears would bleed.

  36. Happy Birthday, Anne, Joanna and Susanna! I wouldn’t say no to any kind of birthday cake, but if I was picking it, I would get chocolate with a cherry or strawberry filling, and a whipped cream frosting.

  41. Happy Birthday to all of you as well. The 14th is my sister’s birthday which kick’s off the year of birthday’s. There is quite a lull between June 6th and September 10th.. Even counting all the grandchildren and spouses there is only 1 birthday in that 2 month period (mine).
As to favorite cake…umm….well…..I’d like a peach cobbler please. or if we really are doing cake, a piece of cake with no frosting please.
My dad doesn’t care for frosting either so whoever was the birthday child would get his frosting after he removed it from his cake.

  46. There certainly are a lot of Capricorns, Janice, but luckily we have a range of other signs to balance us out. Can’t speak to the 17th galz, but I had a lovely day on the 14th. Thanks

  51. Thanks, Vicki. I’m actually the last of three Capricorns in my family, so no big deal. And a peach cobbler sounds just right for the cold weather you’re no doubt having. Stay warm.
