How does a high school science teacher end up writing award-winning historical romances? Join us on Monday, May 20, with Patricia Rice and her guest, Jeannie Lin, and find out! Jeannie has garnered coveted starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and Library Journal, and in 2011 The Dragon and the Pearl was listed as one of Library Journal's Best Romances of 2011. Jeannie will be giving away one of her books to a commenter chosen at random. See you Monday!
My, how time flies when you're having fun! On Wednesday, May 22, we'll be celebrating our 7th anniversary as a group blog. The Wenches know how to celebrate in style: we'll be throwing a grand Anniversary Dessert Party for all our readers, featuring delicious historical treats of the virtual variety (which means they'll be calorie-free!) You're all invited to the party, where we'll be serving historical desserts without limit! It's our way of thanking you for seven years of loyal readership and fascinating discussions!
Ooh, historical desserts, count me in.
Ooh, historical desserts, count me in.
Ooh, historical desserts, count me in.
Ooh, historical desserts, count me in.
Ooh, historical desserts, count me in.
Congratulations, to all the Wenches, and to Ms. Holmes!
I realise that I have only recently stumbled across the Wenches myself, but my paths have crossed with two of them, as I had forgotten that I picked up a hardback copy of Lady Macbeth {Ms. King’s} at my library book sale a few years back, inasmuch as I know of Ms. Putney from my youth whilst reading Regency Christmas novellas! Ooh those were rather smashing, eh? In the next months, I hope to become better acquainted with their books, finally digging into Lady Macbeth, and enjoying the lovely book I won by Ms. Bourne!
Eek. How exciting, indeed! 7 years!! I imagine you all have such a hearty recollection of memories, commenters, readers, questions posed, and discussions disected to fill a lovely scrapbook! I am very thankful to be a part of your 8th year, and I hope that this blog will continue to boldly go forward for many years yet to come! Thank you for all your tireless efforts to give us historical references, engaging wit, joyous delish antidotes, and a friendly atmosphere!
I shall definitely return for the party! Holding my goblet on high and singing a praise of merriment for historicals, for romance, and the enchanting worlds that unite us!
Congratulations, to all the Wenches, and to Ms. Holmes!
