Administrative Issue and Our Anniversary!

We heard a voice crying in the wilderness, and we responded.  Actually, we heard several voices.  Some of you were unhappy with the way your name displayed at the end of your comments.  There was a dotted line, and then your name appeared below the line.  This made it look like your name was attached to the comment below your name, not above it. Well, we found a way to outwit The System (heh heh) and now your names will appear above the dotted line.  Ain’t that nifty?!!Smileylovegif

Those of you who’ve been with us since the beginning (we love ya, baby!) will know that June 22 marks the one month anniversary of bloghood for the Wenches.  To celebrate, we’re going to award a cool prize to some lucky soul whose name will be drawn from our newsletter list.  If you’d like to get in on the drawing, be sure to sign up for the newsletter before June 22!

Sherrie Holmes, rubbing her hands together and thinking about all the neato things we have planned for you in upcoming  months …

  1. Hi Sherrie —
This is a very fun blog you are overseeing. Thank you for all of the ‘behind the scenes’ work you do for the Word Wenches and us little wenchlings, too.

  4. Thanks, Nina! Would you believe this is the most fun job I do? I love schmoozing with the Wenches. You never know what they’re going to post next, and it’s always something that either fascinates me, or makes me laugh out loud. I really dig the sense of spontaneity here!

  7. Thank you SO MUCH for succeeding in changing the way the names and comments relate in the display!
    This will definitely improve readability.

  10. Wow, the name inside the same post is a big improvement! Thanks for figuring that out, Sherrie!
Though here’s something weird: on AOL, the name still appears below the dotted line, even on the new posts. So I went to the site via Internet Explorer, and saw the improvement already in place.
Anyway, those of us with AOL might not see the change right away. AOL stores caches or some such techie-ness. Hopefully it will “cache” up soon. Har, har.
And YES to what Sherrie said — we have some great surprises and new features planned for Word Wenches. Stay tuned, Wenchlings, and come back often!

  13. Susan/Sarah, I’m on AOL, and I see the reformed version of the names. Do you have 9.0?
Today the names–tomorrow bold and italics!
    Wenches Marches On!
(The grammar of the above leaves something to be desired.)

    Loretta”
And nice red uniforms and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope?
